Terms and Conditions

§ 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

1. The organizer of the trips is the company Pura Alma Travel, Lda., based in Zambujeira do Mar, Portugal (NIF/VAT: PT518816699).
2. These Terms & Conditions define the rules for booking, payment, and participation in trips organized by Pura Alma Travel.
3. Pura Alma Travel, Lda. is a company registered in Portugal and operates in accordance with the provisions of Portuguese law, in particular Decree-Law No. 17/2018 of March 8 (Decreto-Lei n.º 17/2018), which transposes into national law Directive (EU) 2015/2302 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2015 on package travel and linked travel arrangements.
4. Any matters not regulated by these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the applicable provisions of Portuguese law and the generally binding regulations of the European Union regarding consumer protection and tourism services.
5. The contract is concluded upon confirmation of availability by the Organizer and payment of the deposit by the Participant.

§ 2. BOOKING AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE

1. A seat is reserved upon payment of a down payment (deposit) in the amount settled for each trip.
2. Full payment of the remaining balance (100% of the trip price) must be made no later than 60 days before the start date of the trip.
3. Failure to pay the full balance within 60 days of the start date is treated as a cancellation by the Participant (pursuant to § 4).

§ 3. GROUP CONFIRMATION AND AIRFARES

1. The realization of the trip is subject to a minimum number of participants: defined for each trip.
2. The Organizer will confirm the trip as soon as the minimum group size is reached, but no later than 60 days before the start date.
3. If the group is not formed 60 days before the start, the Organizer will refund 100% of the funds paid (including the deposit) within 14 days.
4. Important: The Organizer is not responsible for the costs of airfare purchased by the Participant before official confirmation of the trip by Pura Alma Travel. We recommend waiting to purchase flights until you receive our message: "We have a full group, let's go!".

§ 4. CANCELLATION AND PARTICIPANT SUBSTITUTION

1. The Participant may cancel the trip at any time; however, due to pre-paid costs with our partners, the following flat-rate cancellation fees apply:
   • More than 60 days before start: loss of the down payment (deposit).
   • 60 to 31 days before start: fee of 50% of the total trip price.
   • 30 days or less before start: fee of 100% of the total trip price.‍
2. Transfer of Rights (Substitution): The Participant has the right to nominate another person to take their place on the trip, provided that this person meets the health and fitness requirements necessary for the specific type of trip.
3. The Organizer must be notified of a participant change immediately by email. Any additional costs resulting from the change (e.g., fees for changing data with subcontractors) shall be covered by the Participant.
4. We strongly recommend purchasing individual travel cancellation insurance.

§ 5. INSURANCE AND SAFETY

1. The Organizer holds mandatory Liability Insurance (Responsabilidade Civil) no. 207842584 in Allianz insurance company.
2. Within the scope of outdoor activities (RNAAT), we provide basic Personal Accident insurance.
3. Regardless of the above, the Participant is required to purchase individual travel insurancecovering medical expenses abroad and medical transport for the entire duration of the trip.

§ 6. HEALTH AND RESPONSIBILITY

1. The Participant declares that their health condition allows them to participate in active/trekking trips as described in the program.
2. The Participant is obliged to inform the Organizer of any allergies, dietary requirements, or significant medical contraindications before concluding the contract.
3. During the trip, the Participant is obliged to follow safety rules and the guide’s instructions.
