December 4–20, 2026 · 17 days
7–10 guests · Mixed group
€4,350

Space, silence, wild nature, star-filled skies, and memories that stay with you for a lifetime. That is Namibia.

Key highlights

  • Fish River Canyon at sunrise — one of the largest canyons in the world.
  • The Namib Desert, the oldest desert on earth — dunes at Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon.
  • Wild camping under Namibia's extraordinary night sky, often in complete solitude.
  • Safari in Etosha National Park among lions, elephants, and giraffes.
  • Optional encounter with habituated cheetahs and a visit to a Himba village.

Why this expedition

Namibia is one of the least visited, most extraordinary countries in Africa — vast, wild, and almost completely untouched. On this expedition, we drive through it in a convoy of 4x4 jeeps, covering deserts, canyons, granite rock formations, and national parks over 17 days.

The self-drive format is central to the experience. Each vehicle carries 3 participants, with at least two drivers per car. You are not a passenger on a guided tour — you are part of the expedition.

Two experienced leaders accompany the group throughout: Marta Sagatowska, founder of Pura Alma Travel, and Krzysztof Jaxa Kwiatkowski, an African expeditions expert with several decades of experience, licensed Nature Field Guide, and author of guidebooks about Africa.

Some natural inconveniences are part of the adventure. Dust, long gravel roads, and simple camping conditions come with the territory — and so does sleeping under one of the darkest, most star-filled skies on the planet.

This expedition is yours if...

  • You love conscious, meaningful travel and appreciate small, intimate groups.
  • You're open to simplicity, flexibility, and genuine adventure.
  • You have basic experience with driving a 4x4 vehicle and are comfortable on gravel roads.
  • You want to see Namibia as it truly is, not from a resort pool.
